In July, 1973 the “Union Jack” sailed down the pole, and rising to the moment Forward, Upward, Onward, Together The Bahamian flag flew high and we became a nation. Thirty-seven years later the same glory and significance has transformed from the Sun, Sand and Sea, through Unity, Love and Service birthed…..Allegiance!

So many Bahamians announce verbally and physically their allegiance for American, Jamaican, Rastafarian and Haitian symbols, creeds and merchandise. How can we as a nation cut our umbilical cord of national pride? United we must love and serve to support our Olympians, athletes, artists, singers/songwriters, students and most of all our youths, the entreprenuers of yesterday who are tomorrows leaders.
